Job Description - Senior Business Development Representative

Acumen Technology is looking for a confident and passionate Senior Business Development Representative with 4-+ years of sales experience to join our team. We want professionals who understand that the client’s experience is as important as knowing the right buttons to press, and that you can have fun while you work.

Based out of the Music City, Nashville, TN, Acumen Technology is a leading Managed IT Services Provider focusing on financial institutions, healthcare, and other industries that are serious about security and Doing IT Right. Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect net-new business opportunities within the Middle Tennessee market
  • Conduct pre-qualification of suspects to identify ideal Target Client Profile prospects
  • Generate and schedule first-time appointments through outbound efforts (calls, email, networking, referrals)
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive decision-makers (CEO, CFO, business leaders)
  • Drive early-stage discovery conversations and uncover business and technology challenges
  • Collaborate with leadership and sales team members to advance and close opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a strong local referral network with aligned professionals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and pipeline data within CRM systems
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity metrics, pipeline targets, and revenue goals
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in services or technology solutions
  • Proven success in a hunter, net-new business role
  • Experience in a full-cycle or early-cycle consultative sales environment
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quota and revenue targets
  • Ability to generate and maintain a consistent pipeline through outbound efforts
  • Experience booking and running discovery calls / first-time appointments (FTAs)
  • Comfortable selling to executive stakeholders (C-level, business leaders)
  • Experience with longer, solution-based sales cycles (typically 2–6+ months)
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot, ConnectWise, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Highly coachable, accountable, and comfortable operating within a structured sales process
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville area, with ability to travel locally
  • Base salary: $70K – $95K (depending on experience) First-year OTE: $130-150K+. Second-year earnings potential: $200-250K+
  • SPIF incentives during the first 6 months to support ramp
