Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dayton-Granger, Inc. We are hiring an experienced Senior Buyer (also known as Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Agent) to support our aerospace manufacturing operation. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production schedules.

You’ll play a critical role in controlling cost, reducing delays, and ensuring quality materials are delivered on time—helping us meet the standards of a highly regulated aerospace supply chain environment.

  • Create and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce costs and mitigate supply chain disruptions.

  • Assess current inventory and predict future material availability based on supplier lead times and market trends.

  • Analyze supplier pricing, delivery, and quality data to drive cost savings and improved performance.

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and lead times with vendors.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Stockroom teams to ensure on-time material availability.

  • Resolve purchase order or invoice discrepancies in partnership with Accounting.

  • Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics to support planning and efficiency.

  • Research and recommend new suppliers for existing or newly engineered components.

  • Maintain compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company purchasing policies.

  • Follow all DG safety protocols and complete additional tasks as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 4+ years of procurement/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP or similar MRP/inventory management systems.

  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance.

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, reporting).

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Experience with cost analysis, vendor negotiation, and material planning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.

  • Supply chain or procurement certifications (e.g., APICS, CPSM, CPM).

This position requires use of or access to information subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by these regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under the law).
