The Role

The Senior Staff Category Management Professional will manage complex categories and lead category strategy, sourcing, demand planning, and supplier performance initiatives. This individual will work independently while partnering across procurement, supply chain, and business units to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and improve overall business performance.

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies, sourcing events, and related initiatives while ensuring contract compliance.
• Lead strategic demand planning efforts with business units and align category plans with broader organizational objectives.
• Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation, improve performance, and create competitive advantages.
• Leverage market intelligence, industry trends, competitor activity, and economic factors to support sourcing and demand-planning decisions.
• Monitor supplier and contract performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and overall business results.
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal business units while supporting budgeting and cash-management processes.
• Lead complex category management projects, change efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives with limited supervision.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, mentor team members, and resolve complex supply chain and data-quality issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7+ years of relevant supply chain experience, preferably in category management, strategic sourcing, cost management, or a related area; industry experience is preferred.
• Strong category management, sourcing, supplier relationship, contract, and analytical skills; experience with demand planning, market intelligence, supply chain systems, and risk management is a plus.
