Senior Civil Engineer
Location:
Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi
Working Hours:
Normal Work Hours â Monday â Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
Required Qualifications:
⢠Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a clearance.
⢠10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects.
⢠Hold a current Professional Engineering license.
⢠Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process, EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, and the Resident Management System (RMS) is preferred.
⢠Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
⢠Position requires frequent and recurring construction inspections, which include walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for complex, multimillion dollar construction projects. Work will be at Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi.
Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
⢠Review and comment on Contractor submittals;
⢠Review and comment on Contractor questions;
⢠Review and comment on Contractor RFIs/RFCs;
⢠Make written recommendations to the COR;
⢠Compute time extensions;
⢠Assist in preparing change order documents;
⢠Make construction-minded determinations of practicability and meeting contract requirements;
⢠Request for equitable adjustment and claims;
⢠Make technical interpretations of drawings/specifications
⢠Review Contractor punch lists
