Graham & Associates seeks a highly skilled Civil Site Design Engineer to join our team and lead the design efforts for projects at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The Civil Site Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading the design effort for various projects at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a strong understanding of civil site design principles and airport infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design process, from conceptual planning to final construction documents.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design team in developing comprehensive civil site design plans for airport projects, including roadways, parking areas, utility systems, and other infrastructure elements.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design aligns with overall project goals and meets all relevant codes and standards.
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil site components.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for design purposes.
Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with permitting agencies to obtain necessary approvals for design plans.
Oversee the construction phase of projects, providing technical support and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil site design, preferably with airport projects
Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant design software
Knowledge of airport design standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, ICAO)
Experience in the use of 3D software to model civil engineering design, including but not limited to Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Experience in essential computer programs including Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
