Position Summary

Lyndex-Nikken is seeking a Senior CNC Rotary Table Service Technician to support the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of CNC rotary tables and related machine tool accessories.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician with a background in CNC machine tools, rotary tables, workholding systems, servo-driven equipment, or other precision electromechanical systems. The successful candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, mechanical aptitude, and a customer-focused approach to technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish CNC rotary tables and related machine tool accessories.

Perform mechanical and electromechanical disassembly, inspection, rebuild, and reassembly of precision rotary positioning equipment.

Install motors, encoders, braking systems, wiring, and other rotary table components.

Troubleshoot servo systems, electrical controls, and mechanical performance issues.

Conduct preventive maintenance, performance testing, calibration, and final quality inspections.

Interpret technical drawings, mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.

Utilize precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify specifications and tolerances.

Document repairs, inspections, troubleshooting activities, and service recommendations.

Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify product improvements and resolve complex technical issues.

Assist with equipment installation, startup, and customer training as needed.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience servicing, repairing, maintaining, or building CNC machine tools, rotary tables, workholding systems, or similar industrial equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience diagnosing precision electromechanical systems.

Experience troubleshooting servo motors, drives, encoders, and related motion-control systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.

Proficiency using precision measuring tools and calibration equipment.

Working knowledge of CNC machining centers and machine tool accessories.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience servicing rotary tables, indexers, trunnions, or 4th/5th-axis systems.

Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar CNC control platforms.

Field service or customer-facing technical support experience.

Associate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Experience working within machine tool OEM, tooling, workholding, or manufacturing environments.

Compensation

Expected hiring range: $75,000-$95,000+

Competitive compensation will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications. Candidates with direct rotary table, machine tool service, or related OEM experience may be considered for compensation above the stated starting range.
