Job Description - Senior Commercial Counsel (Partnerships & Integrations)

Overview

Polymarket is building the future of markets. We partner with platforms, creators, and institutions to bring prediction markets to new audiences—across product, distribution, payments, and infrastructure. We are looking for a senior commercial lawyer who can own high-velocity deal flow, run point on complex integrations, and scale a best-in-class commercial contracting function.

This is a builder role: you will negotiate, structure, and close partnerships that matter, while also designing the commercial workflows that keep the business moving fast.

What you’ll do

  • Lead partnerships and integrations end-to-end: intake, structuring, negotiation, close, and post-signature execution support.

  • Own commercial contracting across a wide range of counterparties and products (platform partnerships, distribution, marketing, data, vendors, SaaS, payments, and operational agreements).

  • Quarterback cross-functional deal teams with BD, product, engineering, finance, compliance, and marketing.

  • Scale the function: templates, playbooks, clause libraries, fallback positions, approvals, and intake/triage systems to improve cycle time.

  • Manage and develop junior attorneys (and/or outside counsel): set priorities, maintain quality, unblock negotiations, and build durable processes.

  • Drive pragmatic risk decisions—spot issues early, propose solutions, and keep momentum.

What we’re looking for

  • 5–10 years of experience in commercial transactions (law firm, in-house, or a mix).

  • Deep drafting and negotiation experience across partnership and integration agreements, plus core commercial terms: fees/revenue share, SLAs, IP, data rights, security, audit/controls, indemnities, and limitation of liability.

  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple negotiations in parallel in a fast-moving environment.

  • Proven experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys and managing workflow.

  • Clear communicator with high ownership and strong cross-functional instincts.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, marketplaces, or regulated products.

  • Familiarity with payments, KYC/vendor diligence, data security, and advertising/marketing compliance, including international counterparties.

  • Interest in building lightweight systems (intake, metrics, templates) that make legal an engine, not a bottleneck.

Location: SoHo, New York City

Reporting line: Chief Legal Officer

Compensation: $450,000–$550,000 base salary + equity
