Senior Commercial Estimator

About Us: iRoof LLC is a veteran and family owned, full‑service contractor providing integrated roofing, gutter, insulation, and waterproofing solutions to our clients throughout Southwest and Southeast Florida.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Commercial Roofing Estimator to produce accurate, timely take‑offs and proposals for commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of experience within the roofing industry and has experience with The EDGE Estimating Software. You will collaborate closely with our internal sales team, project management, and field crews to ensure bids are competitive, complete, and aligned with margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
● Estimate Preparation: Create detailed material and labor take‑offs using The EDGE; validate quantities and pricing for commercial projects
● Scope Development: Interpret plans, specifications, and site conditions to define project scope, clarify exclusions, and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
● Bid Management: Compile RFIs, vendor quotes, and subcontractor pricing; prepare complete bid packages and deliver on or ahead of deadline.
● Cost Analysis & Margin Control: Work with finance and operations to reconcile estimates against actual costs, refine unit rates, and meet gross‑margin goals.
● Collaboration & Handoffs: Present estimates to sales and project teams, participate in pre‑construction meetings, and ensure a smooth transition from estimating to production.
● Database Maintenance: Update The EDGE assemblies, pricing libraries, and productivity factors with current material costs, labor rates, and waste factors.
● Market & Code Awareness: Stay current on Florida Building Code requirements, wind‑uplift standards, insulation R‑values, and local permitting fees that affect bid accuracy.

Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 10 years estimating roofing or other exterior scopes; at least 2 years using The EDGE.
● Technical Skills: Strong proficiency reading architectural plans, specifications, and aerial take‑off tools; advanced Excel or Google Sheets abilities for cost analysis.
● Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with trade specific roofing knowledge and an overall understanding of commercial construction..
● Communication: Clear written and verbal skills to convey scope clarifications, assumptions, and value‑engineering ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
● Organization: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and maintain meticulous digital records. www.iroofflorida.com Page 1 of 2 • Rev. 01/21 ● Licenses: Valid driver’s license and ability to commute for occasional job‑site walks and pre‑bid meetings.

Compensation & Benefits
● $85,000 - $130,000 total compensation commensurate with experience.
● Base salary pay commensurate with experience, plus performance‑based bonus.

Work Environment
● Hybrid role with a blend of in‑office estimating, home‑office flexibility, and periodic site visits within the designated territory.
