Senior Completions Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Reports to Project Manager.


• Interfaces with discipline leads.


• Owns System Completions Data Base (SCDB) and manages content in conjunction with discipline leads.


• Ensures alignment with Project Engineering, Construction, Quality, Procurement and Start Up/Operations.


• Review the construction contractor’s Dossier Table of Contents. 


• Identify the Completions Database software and Develop the Completions Database to align with the Dossier matrix and electronic folder structure for all documents that will be turned over. 


• Review and catalog the turnover of documents in the Dossier matrix from the construction contractor into the Completions Database for each piece of equipment. 


• Generate punch list items as deficiencies are identified.


• Develop project close out plan for transferring all documents from the Completions Database to the client document management system as part of the project Management of Change process. 


• Track all punch list items generated for all disciplines to align with the Construction Contractor for verification of Mechanical Completion, Ready for Commissioning, and Ready for Start-Up milestones.


• Verify that all punch list items are properly closed to ensure completion of the scope of each punch list item.


• Structure system/sub system hierarchy in SCDB. 


• Liaise with engineering groups to expedite engineering deliverables.


• Liaise with IT groups to ensure multi contractor SCDB setup.


• Liaise with discipline commissioning leads representatives to conduct validation exercise of data contained in SCDB.


• Produce standard and custom reports for management.


• Management of punch lists using SCDB function. 


• System modifications as per project requirements.


• Resolve any discrepancies with SCDB data.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: 

• College / University degree and/or technical diploma or 15 plus years of Project Completion and Operations experience. 


• Previous successful experience during Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Operations planning.


• Considerable oil and gas project experience, specifically, proven experience with the project completion database.


• In-depth knowledge of Project Completion standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.


• Strong understanding of Project execution, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning & Completion practices.


• Strong understanding of work planning, scheduling and tracking.


• Exposure to client practices, processes, and expectations with respect to Systems Completion, Preservation, Commissioning and Start Up operations. 


• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as required to function effectively within a project team and to communicate with project management, contractors, and sub-contractors.

Communication:

• Fully fluency in English is required.
