Position Overview

enGenius Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Scientist to serve as a Program/Project Manager (P/PM) supporting mission-critical technology initiatives in Huntsville, AL. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic project leadership, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver innovative solutions in a national security environment.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Apply comprehensive knowledge across high-impact technical assignments


• Lead major technology initiatives and evaluate performance outcomes


• Recommend strategic changes to enhance project success


• Serve as a technical expert across multiple concurrent projects


• Supervise and mentor junior technical staff as needed


• Collaborate with counterterrorism (CT) investigators, analysts, and professional staff


• Translate non-technical stakeholder needs into feasible technical solutions


• Build and support technical, business, and end-user documentation


• Perform programming (e.g., Python), code refactoring, and systems operations


• Evaluate and implement COTS, GOTS, OSS, and other software solutions


• Enhance system capabilities, performance, and security through automation and optimization

Project & Program Management (P/PM)

• Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to government and vendor teams


• Ensure vendor adherence to quality standards and project requirements


• Manage integration of vendor tasks and track project progress


• Conduct project analysis and generate performance metrics


• Contribute to the technical work program of one or more projects

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  
  
  
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science
  
  
  • 4+ years of Program/Project Management (P/PM) experience
  
  
  
  


• Technical Expertise:
  
  
  
  • Full lifecycle engineering project management
  
  
  • Development and implementation oversight of contractor-led projects
  
  
  • Expert-level proficiency in one or more of the following:
    
    
    
    • UI/UX design
    
    
    • Front-end engineering
    
    
    • API development
    
    
    • Data engineering
    
    
    
    
  
  
  
  


• Clearance:
  
  
  
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph
  
  
  
  

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to enterprise architecture efforts


• Conducting engineering trade-off analyses and feasibility studies


• Developing proof-of-concept prototypes and technical implementation plans


• Leading engineering reviews and applying commercial best practices
