Sr Concrete Estimator
HIGHLIGHTS
Location: Spring, TX (Relocation Assistance for out of town candidates)
Position Type: Direct Hire in office role (no remote)
Salary: Based on experience, $165-200K

Our client is looking for a Sr Commercial Concrete Estimator for an in office role. Will manage five jr level estimators. Average job size is $2.5 million. Customers range from churches, schools, retails shops to mid rise structures.
Job Description:
Position Information:
Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals, project drawings, project specifications and other related documents along with all other owner or customer’s requirements.
Work is generally performed in an office setting. Though visits to construction job sites may be required to fully ascertain the nature of the project requirements. The employee must provide his/her own transportation, hand tools, as required by the trade, and be willing to travel within a 70-mile radius of the Houston metropolitan area.

Education & Experience:
10 years commercial construction experience with at least five years of commercial concrete estimation experience. Must have experience supervising people. Must be computer literate, including knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, word, project & Outlook), one or more estimating software, and PlanGrid is preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as project specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively to individuals, at all levels, and to groups of customers, suppliers, vendors and/or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Blueprint reading. Endurance and ability to visit entire worksite, including stairs, ladders or other elevated structures. Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.

This position will supervise five jr level estimators.
