Job Description - Senior Configuration Manager (TS/SCI Clearance)

This position is part of a bid process associated with a Statement of Work. Candidates are encouraged to submit their information and resumes highlighting their relevant experience.

Position Title: Senior Configuration Manager
Location: Hanover, MD
Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI

Position Overview:

Join a collaborative and mission-driven team where your contributions directly support the Army’s readiness and modernization goals.

The Senior Configuration Manager leads the design, implementation, and oversight of configuration management processes for complex systems and documents across the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enforce Configuration Management (CM) policies and plans.
Lead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and oversee CM audits.
Establish and manage baselines for hardware, software, and documentation.
Support integration of CM with system engineering and logistics processes.
Provide guidance on configuration identification, control, and status accounting.
Ensure CM compliance with programmatic and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
10+ years of configuration management experience in defense programs.
Expertise in CM best practices and DoD policy (e.g., MIL-STD-973, ISO standards).
Proficiency in CM software tools and tracking systems.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
