Houston, TX ) OVERVIEW You are responsible for support of the acquisition/editorial process and the support of and report to the Vice President, Health, Learning, Research, and Practice. You will be a resource to all members of the Medicine team. You will provide support by performing administrative tasks, organization and facilitation of team meetings, performs administrative tasks related to the content acquisition process (contracts, document delivery and tracking, financial reporting) for the department. You will also help with longer-term and calendarized events such as market development, and 3-year forecasting. L

Philadelphia PA (hybrid); or remote U.S. locations RESPONSIBILITIES Your primary responsibilities include: Collection and distribution of documents for Product Review Council; manage meeting invitations and agendas Maintain and monitor product data in proprietary title management systems, including set up and management of ISBNs for print products Help recruit faculty members and SMEs to serve on review boards for both print and digital products; manage payments and documentation Assist Acquisition Editors in managing the print proposal process through being part of the review process for individual products, assist in document creation of proposal Assist Acquisition Editors in generation and distribution of documents related to contract, including main document, addenda, and relevant tax information Track contracts for team, maintain Signings Reports for teams Administrative support, such as processing payments and placing orders for books, eBooks or access to digital products Maintain departmental process manual and function as colleague/mentor to other Editorial Assistants Coordinate invitations to and agendas for team meetings and other meetings. QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred, or if no degree, 2 years of equivalent experience is required. Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of work experience and internships will be considered; ideal candidate will have either some publishing experience or operational/support experience. Microsoft Office; proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams Travel:
