Job Purpose

The Senior Copado Source Format Release Manager oversees the design, deployment, and enhancement of Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Copado. This role requires mastery of Source Format repository structures and seamless integration with Azure DevOps (ADO). The engineer ensures efficient release management, optimized deployment workflows, and governance across enterprise Salesforce environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize Copado-driven CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce environments.
• Develop and maintain Source Format–based repository structures supporting scalable development.
• Integrate Copado with Azure DevOps (ADO) for automated builds, deployments, and version control.
• Lead release management processes, ensuring reliability, compliance, and deployment accuracy.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline code deployment workflows.
• Troubleshoot pipeline errors, deployment issues, and version conflicts in multi-org architectures.
• Create technical documentation, process diagrams, and deployment runbooks.
• Support governance practices, including branching strategy, commit standards, and quality checks.
• Guide teams on best practices for Copado, CI/CD automation, and DevOps maturity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert-level knowledge of Copado and end-to-end Salesforce CI/CD automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce development and deployment processes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD concepts, version control, and Source Format repository management.
• Experience integrating Copado with Azure DevOps (ADO) for automation and tracking.
• Solid understanding of DevOps workflows, branching strategies, and release methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting large enterprise Salesforce orgs with multiple teams and environments.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks within Salesforce pipelines.
• Familiarity with governance processes, deployment quality checks, and compliance workflows.
• Ability to lead DevOps improvements and mentor teams on Copado best practices.
