About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel with a strong background in labor and employment law and experience in intellectual property matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and effective risk strategies in the areas of labor and employment law, including but not limited to compensation plans, pay practices, fair employment, and human rights practices. This role requires significant experience in advising on compliance with federal and state employment laws, as well as the ability to independently manage a variety of legal priorities and effectively direct outside counsel. Experience in intellectual property matters is a plus.The Senior Corporate Counsel will be expected to serve as a subject matter expert in labor and employment law, guide and educate internal clients on legal issues, manage the company's legal matters, and lead process improvement initiatives. The role also involves advocacy, negotiation, training, and the ability to handle a variety of legal and employment-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state, and have a minimum of 6 years of significant experience in employment and labor law. Key skills and abilities include executive-level communication, problem-solving, time management, negotiation, and the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
