About the Role
The Senior Counsel - Global Therapeutics Legal, Patient Services role at the company is a key position focused on developing legal strategy and providing direct support to the Patient Services organization. The successful candidate will be the lead counsel for the patient services team and selected brands, offering guidance on a wide range of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, with a primary emphasis on the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HHS-OIG guidance, and Advertising & Promotion regulations. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are met in compliance with the law and the company's code of conduct. The role also involves staying abreast of healthcare legal developments, identifying future legal issues, and proposing strategies to optimize outcomes for patients, providers, and the company while managing risk.Applicants for this position should have a law degree from an ABA-accredited school, be in good standing with the state bar, and have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with previous pharma experience being a plus. A background in the applicable scientific field is also advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to simplify complex legal issues, strong collaborative skills, and the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally. Strong organization and time management skills are essential, with the flexibility and resourcefulness to manage multiple priorities effectively. The role requires a commitment to meeting patient unmet needs and the ability to provide innovative legal solutions in complex business and technological environments.
