About the Role
The Senior Counsel, Litigation is a key role within the legal team, responsible for managing a variety of litigation matters, with a focus on intellectual property, commercial, and other dispute issues. This position involves working closely with business leaders to assess and develop strategies for pre-dispute, dispute management, and resolution. The successful candidate will have a J.D. or equivalent, be a member of a state bar, and have a minimum of 5 years' of litigation experience, preferably with a nationally recognized firm or in a relevant in-house role within a technology environment. Strong communication, collaboration, and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and with all levels of management.The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience in managing complex litigation, including significant commercial and intellectual property cases, and will be adept at identifying and mitigating legal risks. The Senior Counsel, Litigation is expected to be a self-motivated team player with a high level of business acumen, capable of providing strategic legal guidance and working with senior stakeholders on sensitive matters. Responsibilities include overseeing litigation strategy, managing outside counsel, negotiating resolutions, and assisting in the development of strategies for litigation prevention. The role requires an individual who is results-oriented, responsive to internal clients, and can effectively partner with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on risk-related strategy and compliance matters.
