Senior Data Engineer II

Overview:

Breakthru Beverage Group is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented and a team player to join the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platforms team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will provide ongoing support for the Enterprise Data and Analytics solutions and support ongoing operations including, but not limited to data analysis, data modeling, optimization, ETL, reporting and data visualization. Collaborate with our BI team to develop and implement best practices in BI processes and procedures to ensure that our reporting platforms provide excellent customer service and data quality.Responsibilities:Perform design and develop Enterprise Data and Analytics solutions. Meets business requirements and objectives by designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions. Writing secure, reusable and easily maintainable code that adheres to software development best practices.Support mission critical data platforms, applications, and solutions by providing analysis, troubleshooting, investigating, and implementing solutions.Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentations.Optimizes data models and data platform integration and apply best practices. Identify opportunities to improve team efficiencies.Provides a solution or recommendation to improve insights to address critical business questions. Collaborate and incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions as well as self-service solutions.Mentor and collaborate with team members. Lead project or initiatives and make sure deadlines are met.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trendsOther duties, as assigned by the jobholders supervisor, may also be required.Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ related field or equivalent technical training and work experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience building data models and maintaining enterprise data warehouse solutionsMinimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing reports, dashboards, scorecards and analytic solutionsMust have strong understanding of data relationships and functional activities with ability to perform data queries (SQL) and ETL processesMinimum of 3 years of direct support and development experience in one the following domains:

(Desired) SAP HANA Modeling, SLT, SAP Data Services(Desired) Microsoft SQL Server, database development, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), PowerBI and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).

Flexibility to work on and learn various technologiesWorking in an environment with source code control (Git and CI/CD experience)Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation softwareMust be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skillsAbility to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlinesAnalytic and Reporting skillsUtilize sound judgement and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the sales and marketing aspects of the distribution industryExperience in data mining, big data, data lake, cloud-based database development or predictive analysisPYTHON ExperienceExperience with Agile Software Development teamsPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephoneCompetencies:May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine.
