Senior Data Engineer (SQL, Oracle)

We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer with deep expertise in Oracle databases to join our team and support the development of dynamic, data-driven applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL development, database design, and performance optimization, and is comfortable working in complex data environments to ensure scalable and efficient data access.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SQL development with a strong focus on Oracle databases


• Understanding of relational database design and performance tuning


• Expertise in supporting dynamic, data-driven web applications


• Competency in BI/reporting features (e.g., drill-downs, sorting, filtering)


• Skills in optimizing queries and database logic for high-performance data retrieval


• The need to work with VDI on the project

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL tools or data integration pipelines


• Familiarity with PL/SQL performance best practices


• Exposure to cloud-based database services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database logic to support web applications and business processes


• Work extensively with Oracle databases, particularly in environments like Oracle MIDEAS or similar platforms


• Optimize existing queries and database structures to improve performance, scalability, and data integrity


• Collaborate with application developers and analysts to implement data-driven features and ensure efficient backend data flows


• Support BI/reporting functionality, including interactive elements such as drill-downs, sorting, and filtering


• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of database components


• Contribute to database design decisions, ensuring best practices in schema structure, indexing, and data normalization
