Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Emerson DeltaV control systems for capital projects.
• Develop batch sequencing, phase logic, and recipe structures using ISA-88 standards to ensure optimized production and compliance.
• Create high-performance operator interfaces using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate aligned with ISA-101 HMI design principles.
• Design scalable, class-based DeltaV architectures to support multi-line or multi-site deployments.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and client relationships to deliver successful outcomes on time and on budget.
• Specify and integrate electrical and control hardware, including MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and power distribution.
• Architect industrial networks using Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, and OPC UA.
• Oversee server infrastructure planning, including virtualization, redundancy, and cybersecurity.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, validation documentation, and regulatory compliance (GAMP5, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of automation standards and templates.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits, commissioning, and client collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8-15 years of hands-on experience with DeltaV in regulated life sciences environments.
• Deep knowledge of DeltaV Live, ISA-101 HMI design, and ISA-88 batch control.
• Proven experience leading full lifecycle automation projects.
• Expert in industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Foundation Fieldbus, OPC UA).
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
• Solid understanding of industrial networking and server architecture (virtualization, cybersecurity, redundancy).
• Strong communication, team leadership, and client engagement skills.
