Acushnet Company is seeking a Senior Designer to lead textile and surface design for our golf performance apparel collections. This role drives the creative vision for prints, patterns, color, and material expression while ensuring our textiles deliver both aesthetic impact and performance excellence.
Lead the creation of all-over prints, engineered graphics, patterns, and textures across seasonal lines.
Research trends in color, materials, finishes, and textile technologies to inspire innovative concepts.
Develop original artwork, repeats, motifs, and fabric specifications aligned with brand identity.
Collaborate closely with Apparel Design, Product Development, Materials, Sourcing, and Merchandising to deliver cohesive seasonal stories.
Partner with global mills to develop fabrics, review prototypes, and solve technical challenges.
Review strike-offs, lab dips, and samples to ensure accuracy in color, print execution, and quality.
Present textile concepts and seasonal material stories to cross-functional partners and leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
7+ years of professional experience in textile or surface design; performance sportswear or golf apparel is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong understanding of fabric construction, print methods, dye processes, and performance textile technologies.
Exceptional color sensibility, trend awareness, and attention to detail.
Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience in apparel design or garment construction is a plus.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
