Senior Designer - Essentials WGA

Overview

The Sr. Apparel/Accessories Designer will be responsible for creating product designs that are both cost-effective and innovative.

Responsibilities

Translate design direction and fabric/trim selections into original designs
Create original flat sketches based on existing trends and mainstream designs
Work with Design Team to create tech packs, ensuring designs accurately translate into development samples
Collaborate with Trend Forecasting Team on seasonal trends and concepts
Research trends and bring in new ideas through competitive websites and store visits.
Train and mentor Designers by offering constructive criticism and guidance
Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's or Associates degree in Fashion Apparel Design
Must have 5+ years of Fashion Design experience in multiple design categories
Must have strong leadership skills
Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Word, and Excel
Must have strong design aesthetic, color sense, and conceptual skills
Must be able to create flat sketches by hand
Comprehensive knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color/print usage, graphics, embellishment layouts, and trim required
Must be flexible and adapt well to fast paced, rapidly changing work environment
Must be a team player, open to taking direction, and able to work well under pressure

ADDITIONAL DATA:

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $108,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
