Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Digital Delivery Leader for the West Region within our Environmental Remediation Practice. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for spearheading the evolution and execution of our strategy to become a leader in digital tools and systems for remediation management.

It’s an exciting time for digital professionals as the Remediation industry undergoes a revolution in terms of data collection, analysis and presentation.

About Digital @AECOM

As a member of the West regional digital team, you will work with leaders from around the region to define and position our digital services within the Remediation Practice, to develop and share best practices, leverage global capabilities, and support global opportunities and projects. While the strategy for services and solution management will be set globally, the role will be responsible for tailoring and implementing those solutions within the region for each client.

As a senior digital delivery leader, this role will provide support and oversight across all remediation projects in the West region. As a result, this role will require travel up to 20% of the time. The role will be fully remote and can be based in any location in the West region. Some specific locations would be: LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis.

This role will work closely with regional leadership to build and expand the impact of our growing team of data management professionals in the remediation market.

Key Responsibilities include:

Team Leadership and Strategic Practice Development:

Create a community of teams and individuals who provide data management across the region to share, collaborate, and align priorities.

Mentor team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge in data management technologies and industry specific solutions.

Assess market trends and team capabilities to position AECOM at the forefront of the remediation sector.

Technical Expertise and Solution Design:

Engage with client delivery teams in on-going projects & programs to understand challenges, pain points, and blockers to digital technology adoption and usage.

Support the evolution and execution of a best-in-class Data Management Strategy including business processes and supporting technology that will be used as a basis for all new remediation engagements.

Architect digital technology and data management strategies, processes, and migration requirements.

Provide expert technical analysis and recommendations for technology selection, ensuring alignment with client needs and project criteria.

Act as an SME on industry typical commercial off the shelf (COTS) solutions for the remediation market and develop the ability to be a trusted SME in AECOM products and delivery offerings.

Client Engagement and Business Development:

Lead and facilitate client workshops, training sessions, and presentations to showcase AECOM's data management capabilities and convey technical designs and evaluations.

Engage with client stakeholders to enable discussions around leveraging data, insights, and digital solutions to advance our current delivery offerings and potentially expand our scope of services.

Provide support of marketing and proposals through the development of thought leadership, approach, and technical scope writing.

Support regional remediation bids with the development of scopes, fees, and reviews of risks and contract terms.

Project Management and Quality Oversight:

Oversee technical delivery teams to ensure projects adhere to scope, budget, and quality standards.

Serve as the lead discipline authority or project manager on data management tasks or projects.

Implement and oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality in all deliverables, and document quality control measures and outcomes.

Facilitate the development of delivery best practices, processes, and standards.

Communications, Documentation, and Strategic Alignment:

Provide a continuous understanding to leadership of the people, process, and technologies being utilized within the region to drive strategic decisions.

Align with global digital leadership and delivery teams to convey needs within the region and understand capabilities and global offerings.

Develop and disseminate internal and external communications that align with AECOM's broader digital services and business line strategies.

Understand the broader digital services offering and Environmental business line strategies to develop messaging and marketing material that aligns with data management services.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS and 8 years’ experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in data management, database administration, and business analyst processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years’ experience in data management, database administration, and business analyst processes.

Demonstratable ability to manage data throughout its life cycle from field sampling through analysis and reporting.

Strong practical knowledge of overall data management processes and workflows; including from data collection and retrieval, ETL processes, performing quality control on external data, and generating summaries and analysis of results.

Ability to develop and work in common data management tools for SQL relational databases including data architecture, scripting, and querying.

Experience in environmental remediation activities, consulting, or management.

Experience with managing and deploying EQuIS Enterprise environmental data management solutions.

Working knowledge of cloud-based pipeline and data management tools within Microsoft Azure

Knowledge of Federal and state environmental regulatory requirements.

Experience with mobile field-data collection, processing, and integration.

Experience preparing data for integrated visualization and spatial analysis in platforms such as ArcGIS, Earth Volumetric Studio, or Leapfrog.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00.
