The Senior Digital Strategist supports the Marketing team with strategic insights and implementation of digital advertising campaigns for multiple clients. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, the Senior Digital Strategist contributes to campaign strategy and development, audience research, competitor and market analysis, and reporting of campaign performance on an ongoing basis. As a senior member of the team, this role provides mentorship to junior marketing staff and educates peers on digital marketing best practices.

Previous experience working at an agency is required.

Salary:

$85,000 - $98,000, dependent on experience
The Impact You'll Make:

Work closely with our diverse portfolio of mission-based clients, helping them develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that drive results. As a senior member of our team, you will play a crucial role in guiding our clients toward achieving their objectives through innovative digital marketing initiatives.
Develop key insights that drive smart and innovative digital experiences through a deep understanding of the consumer and our clients' business. Utilize your expertise in marketing software, strategic thinking, and analytics to craft compelling approaches.
Lead strategic client consultations, offering expert guidance and customized solutions for impactful outcomes. Explain the opportunities and challenges of various digital platforms and present informed recommendations on what will work best and why.
Review research such as digital audits of clients' SEO/SEM, social listening, audience research, and Google Ads/Analytics.
Prepare budgets for digital ad campaigns, and manage and adjust ad spend for multiple campaigns.
Oversee PPC campaigns (retargeting, display, search, etc.) using Google Adwords, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, and other social channels.
Analyze web performance data, gather social listening insights, and monitor KPIs to evaluate campaign health, advising on the delivery of optimizations and/or making adjustments when needed.
Able to direct junior staff on creating UTMs, using Google Tag Manager, Data Studio, and digital tools such as Hotjar, CrazyEgg, and Optimizely.
Deliver campaign performance reports for multiple clients 30-60-90 days post-campaign launch, measuring results against defined business objectives.
Continuously test, learn, and iterate on strategies to drive continuous improvement and maximize conversion rates. Develop and implement optimization strategies to improve the performance of digital channels, including websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and social media.
Collaborate with UX researchers in the development of customer journeys and/or personas to inform campaign development and digital advertising tactics.
Contribute to the review and improvement of existing internal systems and processes as the Marketing team grows, staying abreast of industry changes and trends and helping the team forecast possible obstacles.
Develop and support campaign strategy, working closely with the Marketing Strategist and Director of Marketing.
Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in conversion optimization and digital marketing.
Represent the agency as a subject matter expert (SME) at conferences and events, as needed.
Other tasks as necessary to make you and the company more successful.
Expectations

At least 7 years of professional experience in similar roles.

Agency experience is required

. Experience working in one or more of our core industries (associations, nonprofits, higher education, or government agencies) is a plus, but not required.
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, or related field; or commensurate experience in areas referenced above.
Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver and accept honest criticism.
Experience providing mentorship to junior marketing staff and communicating digital marketing best practices to cross-functional peers.
Experience developing strategies for and optimizing campaigns across the funnel (awareness, lead gen, conversion).
Significant experience with Google Tag Manager, Google AdWords & Analytics. (

Google Analytics 4 certification required

).
Significant experience gathering and using marketing data, such as keyword research, industry reports, and competitive analysis.
Ability to manage time and projects effectively with a focus on the details and minimal supervision.
Significant experience creating and presenting analytics reports.
Experience creating and administering earned and paid social media campaigns, including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
Experience with Google Search Console and other technical SEO tools preferred.
Experience with email marketing and one or more popular marketing automation platforms, such as Hubspot, Eloqua, Pardot, Marketo, or others, preferred.
Previous experience implementing A/B testing and conversion optimizations desired. Experience with migrating Google Universal Analytics to GA4 is highly desired, but not required.

Our Hiring Process:
