- Provide leadership advice on mission engineering strategies for SoS architectures and strategic messaging to key operational and government stakeholders.
- Provide systems engineering and mission architecting support.
- Technical requirements generation/review/compliance supporting space systems technical review and assessments.
- Develop mitigation plans for discovered and recorded Risks, Issues, and Gaps (RIGs) to provide senior leadership the information needed to close RIGs and vulnerabilities.
- Identify activities and functions critical to mission thread development, deriving and modeling the as-is and to-be functional and physical architectures.
- Provide program and technical insight to the modeling and analysis staff regarding system architecture designs, interfaces, schedule, and assumptions.
- Drive integration and utilization of Digital Engineering (DE) practices of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis (MS&A) to include the conversion of legacy Systems Engineering content into digital formats.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a relevant discipline with 14+ years of experience with:
- Systems engineering and architecting for major systems acquisitions utilizing Digital Engineering methodologies.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and descriptive modeling frameworks such as SysML.
- Experience in Cameo Systems Architect or SparX Enterprise Architect.
- Understanding of DoDAF views for system of system architectures and plans.
- Modeling Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) experience in parametric and physics-based assessment of systems.
- Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI is required, along with SCI eligibility and participation in Continuous Evaluation.
- Must meet all requirements for SCI and SAP access and be willing to undergo a polygraph examination.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree, 12+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Fluency in Department of War architectural frameworks (e.g., DoDAF).
- Military Space Operations with an emphasis in Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power programs and capabilities.
- Experience working in a development environment and/or U.S. Government weapons system program office.
- Led the development of a Digital Engineering Thread utilizing MBSE and MS&A artifacts, leading to a validated and verified system architecture.
- Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, etc.).
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering and operational analysis processes and tools, as well as their application in producing data-driven analysis results.
Target salary range: $210,000 - $235,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range and bonus potential for this position based on experience and other factors.
