Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly strategic and enterprise-oriented leader to serve as Sr Director, Commercialization Strategy & Readiness to support the continued growth of the U.S. biosimilars portfolio. Reporting into the U.S. Biosimilars SVP US Biosimilars, this role will be responsible for defining and leading commercialization strategy for early launch stage biosimilars during the early pre-launch planning period (T-18 to T-12), ensuring assets are optimally positioned for successful downstream launch execution and long-term commercial performance.
As a member of the U.S. Biosimilars Leadership Team, this individual will serve as a key decision-making leader responsible for shaping portfolio-level commercialization strategy decisions across the U.S. biosimilars business and ensuring consistent, enterprise-level approaches to how pipeline assets are developed, positioned, and prepared for launch. The role is accountable for maximizing long-term asset value, revenue trajectory, and portfolio performance through integrated commercialization planning and cross-functional alignment.
This individual will partner closely with pipeline strategy, commercial lead, market access, forecasting, insights & analytics, and finance teams to define and oversee integrated go-to-market scenarios for future biosimilar launches. The role will focus on leading cross-functional teams in shaping commercialization strategy through scenario planning, market assessment, pricing and access evaluations, customer segmentation, and strategic readiness activities to support successful launch planning and portfolio growth.
The ideal candidate will possess strong pharmaceutical commercial experience, deep expertise in market access, commercialization, and pricing strategies. Previous experience in biosimilars is strongly preferred. Success in this role will require a highly collaborative and adaptable leader capable of integrating cross-functional insights into actionable commercialization recommendations while operating at a portfolio and enterprise level.
• Build go-to-market scenarios for pipeline biosimilars during the T-18 to T-12 pre-launch planning period.
• Define and oversee development of integrated go-to-market scenarios, including pricing strategy, market access approach, customer targeting, channel dynamics, and specialty commercialization considerations.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for early-stage commercialization strategy development, ensuring delivery of high-quality, data-driven strategic scenarios and recommendations.
• Serve as a key member of the U.S. Biosimilars Leadership Team, shaping portfolio strategy, asset prioritization, and long-term commercial planning.
• Define and enforce a consistent commercialization strategy framework across the portfolio to ensure alignment and comparability of strategic decision making.
• Ensure alignment and consistency of commercialization strategies across assets to support portfolio-level decision making.
• Drive development and prioritization of Key Business Questions (KBQs) and ensure cross-functional alignment to generate insights required for strategic decision making.
• Integrate inputs from forecasting, insights & analytics, finance, competitive intelligence, and customer research into portfolio-level commercialization strategies.
• Partner closely with Market Access teams to align on strategic direction, scenario evaluation, and commercialization execution, while maintaining ownership of commercialization strategy development within the biosimilars business.
• Ensure effective transition of commercialization strategy and recommendations to downstream launch execution teams beginning at approximately T-12 prior to anticipated launch.
• Lead commercialization-related transformation initiatives to enhance scalability, improve strategic ownership, and optimize how assets are prepared for launch.
• Influence and align senior cross-functional stakeholders across commercial, market access, and pipeline teams to drive integrated decision making.
• Support ongoing evolution of the operating model, including governance development, process design, and organizational scalability across the biosimilars business.
• Operate in a dynamic and evolving environment, defining new processes, frameworks, and ways of working to support a growing biosimilars portfolio
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required.
• Significant experience in commercialization strategy, market access, pricing strategy, pipeline planning, launch strategy, forecasting, specialty commercialization, or related strategic commercial functions required
• Biosimilar experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute at a leadership team level within a matrixed organization.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with ability to integrate cross-functional inputs into commercialization recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering executive-level strategic recommendations.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams required.
• Highly collaborative, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
