As a member of the Pega Legal team, you will report to the Chief Legal Officer and serve as the Company’s lead lawyer and strategic leader for Pega’s global privacy, cybersecurity and AI governance and compliance, as well as manage a team of legal professionals in this subject matter area.  You will partner closely with leadership and key stakeholders across Cloud, Product, Security, Compliance, Marketing, Engineering, and Sales to drive enterprise-wide initiatives that enable innovation while ensuring compliance with evolving global regulatory requirements. You will lead and develop a high-performing team of legal professionals and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex regulatory, operational, and business matters. What You'll Do at Pega:

• Provide legal guidance on compliance matters relating to data privacy, cybersecurity and AI governance and compliance, including staying current with relevant global regulatory and legislative changes including the European Digital Operations Resiliency Act, the Singapore Digital Operations Resiliency Act, Brazilian privacy law.


• Develop global, cross-functional policies and initiatives aligning Pega’s digital security policy, Secure Controls Framework and other security policies with international legal and regulatory requirements.


• Provide support for the Business Officer team in the negotiation of client contracts on cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI terms, including developing and updating contract language, contract playbooks and fallback positions.


• Successfully lead and develop a team of cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI legal professionals, as well as successfully utilize dotted line resources without direct reporting relationships.

Who You Are:

A business savvy legal professional with extensive cybersecurity, data privacy, and AI subject matter expertise and experience with complex software license and service contracts.

What You've Accomplished:

• JD degree


• You have led a legal privacy/AI/cyber function at a major Saas company for a minimum of 7 years. 


• 15+ years’ experience includes drafting and negotiating privacy, cybersecurity, and AI provisions in complex technology agreements, with significant work related to Cloud technologies.


• You have partnered with internal stakeholders, like finance, compliance, and product teams, to help an enterprise reach its business, operational, and financial goals.


• You are a seasoned in-house advisor on strategic decisions related to privacy, cybersecurity, and AI.

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 235,000 - 364,900 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
