About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Director of Development to join their executive management team and spearhead the organization's fundraising strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan, with a focus on achieving and surpassing annual philanthropic goals. This role involves creating strategies for new donor acquisition, managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, and overseeing the grant submission process. The Senior Director will also be tasked with building and leading a development team, setting and monitoring development standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate fundraising efforts with the organization's objectives.Applicants for the Senior Director of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred) and at least 8 years of professional experience in development, including a proven track record of fundraising success. Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 2 years in a development leadership role are required. The ideal candidate will possess impeccable writing skills, attention to detail, and excellent tech skills, including experience with Salesforce or similar donor databases. The role demands a creative and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment and is passionate about the organization's mission. Experience with high net worth donors and celebrities, as well as a sense of humor, are also valued.
