The Senior Director of Operations

will oversee the comprehensive management and maintenance of client facilities, ensuring excellence in service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This leadership role involves strategic planning, team development, and collaboration with various stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management:

Oversee the management and maintenance of client facilities, including commercial buildings, office spaces, industrial sites, retail sites and other properties.
Ensure facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering high-quality facility management services.
Serve as the main point of contact for client communication and escalation of issues.

Service Delivery:

Manage the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services, including janitorial, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, handyman and other facility-related services.
Monitor service levels, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction to ensure service excellence.

Contract Management:

Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments with clients, subcontractors, and service providers.
Ensure that contracts are aligned with client expectations, company policies, and legal requirements.

Budget and Cost Management:

Develop and manage budgets for facility management services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality assurance programs and standards to ensure that facility management services meet or exceed industry benchmarks and client expectations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain service quality and compliance.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and mentor a team of facility managers, technicians, administrators, and support staff.
Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and morale.

Technology Integration:

Leverage technology solutions such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), facility management software, and IoT devices to streamline operations, track assets, and improve service delivery.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all facility operations.
Implement policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment and minimize risks to employees and occupants.

Sustainability Initiatives:

Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste generation, and environmental impact in client facilities.
Identify opportunities for green building practices, renewable energy, and resource conservation.

Business Development:

Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities for IFM services, pursue new clients, and expand market share.
Participate in proposal development, presentations, and client meetings to win new business.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve IFM processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Solicit feedback from clients, employees, and stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility management or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of facility management best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Proven track record in client relationship management, contract negotiation, and service delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in facility management software and technology solutions.
Commitment to health, safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Benefits:
Salary range: $160,000 - $170,000/yr
