Note: This position is Hybrid (Remote and Onsite). The candidate's first day is onsite and onsite on demand basis.
Job Summary:
· Under limited supervision, coordinates, designs, and secures computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information.
· Serves as highest advanced-level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff. May also serve in a lead role.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate monitoring, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and research for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across hybrid, multi-cloud, and micro services architectures.
· This is for the INET Program.
Monitoring & Observability:
· Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.
· Enable end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
· Develop dashboards, alerts, and health checks to ensure system health and reliability.
· Monitor service performance and availability and set alert thresholds to minimize false positives.
Infrastructure Systems Monitoring:
· Monitor Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Support monitoring of databases, middleware, and network components.
· Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to identify trends and capacity needs.
· Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact production.
Application Monitoring:
· Use Dynatrace to monitor application performance and transaction flows.
· Support synthetic monitoring and real user monitoring.
· Work closely with application teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
· Assist in troubleshooting performance issues at both the application and system level.
Incident Support:
· Participate in incident response efforts related to performance and availability.
· Provide monitoring insights during troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
· Identify and close monitoring gaps.
Continuous Improvement:
· Enhance monitoring standards and documentation.
· Recommend improvements to monitoring configurations and alert strategies.
· Support integration of monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
· 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles.
· 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools.
Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualized environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
· Basic networking understanding (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
· Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash (preferred).
· Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring.
· Experience with ITIL practices and regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
Soft Skills:
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
· Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
· Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
