JOB SUMMARY: Design and enable effective learning experiences for Cherry Creek students, teachers, and staff through thoughtful integration of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Work at the intersection of educational technology, Information Systems, and instruction to support teaching, learning, and district operations. Build capacity, support tool adoption, and ensure technology and AI are used effectively to enhance outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Design, develop, and deliver professional learning experiences that build AI literacy and effective educational technology integration for staff and students across PK-12, aligned to the district strategic plan and the Ed Tech Department's vision and priorities.

Work collaboratively with departments across Cherry Creek School District to support teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators with the integration of technology and AI into instruction and practice in order to foster student achievement; provide on-site support and model best practices for integrating educational technology and AI into classroom and operational settings.

Support the alignment of school-based technology staff (Instructional Technology Coordinators/Building Techs) by providing coaching, resources, and instructional guidance in coordination with the Supervisor.

Stay current with emerging educational technologies, AI developments, trends, and best practices; build and maintain strong professional relationships with district and school-based collaborative teams; represent the Ed Tech Department at relevant district and community meetings.

Develop and maintain frameworks, resources, and tools that help schools identify opportunities where technology can support and amplify their instructional vision; build leadership capacity to promote lasting structures that support student and staff achievement.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.



  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required

  • Master’s degree in educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or related field

  • Five (5) years of successful K-12 teaching experience 

  • Experience in education and educational technology

  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning for adult learners

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license

  • Strong communication skills across both instructional and technical audiences

  • Intermediate organizational skills

  • Intermediate presentation skills in a variety of settings

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced interpersonal relations and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines

  • Ability to use judgment and make sound decisions

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.



  • Experience working in a K-12 public school district, preferably large or complex systems

  • Experience with design thinking, user experience, or change management

  • Experience working at the intersection of instructional and technology teams

  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

  • Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
