As an Educational Leader at Goodstart, you'll collaborate with Educators in your centre to observe, review, and continuously enhance the educational programs offered to children. You'll deepen the team's understanding of child development and early years content, guiding the application of the Early Years Learning Framework. Working closely with the centre leadership team, you'll lead transformative changes and champion excellence in educational practice.

About Goodstart Mooroolbark

Goodstart Mooroolbark is a welcoming 75-place centre located in the heart of the local community. The centre operates Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 6:00pm and offers high-quality early learning across Nursery, Toddler, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten rooms.

We’re looking for an experienced Diploma-Qualified Educational Leader who is confident mentoring educators, leading practice uplift and strengthening high-quality educational programs. You’ll bring a calm, knowledgeable leadership style and a passion for building strong relationships across a stable, long‑standing team. The team is proud of its long-standing educators, with some team members having up to 20 years of service, creating a stable and supportive environment for children and families.

The centre has recently completed Assessment and Rating and received an overall outcome of Meeting the National Quality Standard in March 2026. Educators at Goodstart Mooroolbark pride themselves on strong, respectful relationships with families, working in partnership to support each child’s learning journey.

This role includes 7.5 hours per week of off-the-floor mentoring time, supporting practice uplift, coaching and professional growth across the team. The successful candidate must be available to work full-time within the centre’s operating hours between 7am and 6pm.

You’ll need:

• Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)


• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards


• Current VIC Working with Children Check
