Senior Electrical Engineer – Analog & Digital Circuit Design | Power Electronics Expert
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in analog and digital circuit design and power electronics to join our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership across the complete product lifecycle—from initial requirements and architecture through production and sustainment—while working on cutting-edge harsh-environment applications. Key Responsibilities
Lead technical initiatives throughout the full product lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture development, design qualification, production support, and long-term sustainment
Design, analyze, simulate, and verify innovative analog and digital hardware circuits for demanding harsh-environment applications
Develop comprehensive design documentation, technical requirements, and deliver presentations at critical design reviews
Balance and optimize complex engineering tradeoffs involving performance specifications, cost constraints, project schedules, and risk management
Provide hands-on troubleshooting, technical analysis, and engineering support for manufacturing operations, supplier relationships, and legacy product lines
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, contribute to business development proposals, prepare cost estimates, and participate in technical hiring decisions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree strongly preferred)
Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience in analog circuit design and digital circuit design, including expertise in A/D conversion, processors, microcontrollers, I/O interfaces, and communication systems
Proven background in power electronics design using MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN semiconductor devices
Hands-on experience with DC/DC converters and regulatory compliance including MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461
Demonstrated proficiency in printed wiring board (PWB) layout for high-power, high-voltage, and EMI-compliant circuit designs
Strong understanding of communication protocols including CAN bus, RS-232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI/PCIe, and 1G/10G Ethernet
Experience with motor control systems, control theory, Z-domain analysis, Clark and Park transforms, and sensor interfaces (LVDT, resolvers, encoders)
Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard CAD and simulation tools such as LT-Spice, P-Spice, OrCAD, Allegro, and MATLAB/Simulink
