Are you seeking an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment where your expertise is valued? Look no further! We're currently seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer for a direct hire position at our client's site in Bay County, MI.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Designing and debugging electronic circuits throughout the lifecycle of various electronic products.
• Testing and debugging circuits based on customer requirements, schematics, bill of materials, and PCB layout artwork.
• Translating customer and internal requirements into specific hardware design requirements.
• Developing and validating electronic circuits to meet customer specifications.
• Collaborating with suppliers to select suitable components and ensure a consistent supply throughout the part's lifecycle.
• Supporting calibration and EndofLife (EOL) FFT stands and equipment.
• Researching innovative solutions, including circuit designs and component selections, to meet customer requirements.
• Managing a database of approved parts used across multiple projects.
Essential:
• Proficiency in circuit design, schematic development, and analysis to meet requirements.
• Experience with Schematic Capture and Circuit Analysis Tools (Cadence preferred, other tools acceptable).
• Familiarity with motors, sensors, and electromagnetics (EMI/EMC) desirable.
• Knowledge of digital communications protocols (CAN, LIN, SENT, I2C, SPI, etc.) desirable.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Hardware and Microprocessor Architecture.
• Expertise in Power Electronics Design and Analysis of 3 Phase machines.
• Hands on experience in designing, building, and testing electrical hardware design and processor interfaces.
• Ability to debug and analyze bench, test stand, and vehicle electronics.
• Competency in reading schematics and PCB layout.
• Proficiency in mechatronic hardware design and debugging using Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic analyzers, etc.
• Experience in embedded systems test design and execution.
• Basic programming skills.
• Documentation skills, including customer requirements capture and interpretation.
Additional Useful Skills/Experience
• Knowledge of Freescale, Infineon, TI processors.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 Safety Standards and Requirements preferred.
• Experience with Customer Specific CAN tools and Requirements (CANalyzer, CANape preferred).
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Excel/Visual Basic, and Thermal Analysis Tools (e.g., Ansys or Flowtherm).
• Understanding of IPC 610 Standards Class II and III, and other applicable IPC Standards preferred.
