Senior

Employee Development Specialist

to join our Product System Training (PST) organization team in Kennedy Space Center, FL.
The qualified specialists will be a team player that will provide instructor-led trainings covering a broad range of initial technical certifications and re-certifications for the Space Launch System (SLS), Starliner, X37-B and International Space Station (ISS) programs.
The selected individual will provide Initial and Recertification Instructional Training including, but not limited to:
SLS Clickbond

Bond and Ground

Powered Industrial Trucks

Alodine

Mechanical Torque

Mate / Demate

Cryogenic Mechanical Joint Seal

Sealing

SLS Bond

Manufacturing Documents and Processes

Position Responsibilities:
Provide industrial skills guided practice or bench activities

Cross train other instructors

Support skill elevation activities

Prepare training areas to be teach ready

Ensure classrooms and other facilities are stocked with materials and supplies

Use My Learning to verify students have the required prerequisites prior to attending training

Coordinate with Boeing to verify students have required applications and qualifications applicable to training (Redars, PSDS, APDM, MES, medicals, etc.)

Identify and notify course owner of errors in course or testing materials

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of root cause analysis, corrective action, and training related audit activities

Attend operations program meetings as directed byPST Management

Shadow and/or 5S (Sorting, Simplifying, Sweeping, Standardizing, Self-Discipline) to improve operational efficiency

Facilitate kitting

Stock and maintain classroom supplies

Perform maintenance and/or file management of electronic and hard copy records

Support Operations as a SME with SOJT (Structured on the Job Training) and consulting

Prepare pre-class tasks (obtain courseware, exams, set-up, etc.)

Perform post class cleaning to restore training area to its original “teach ready” condition in all training areas

Travel up to 20% of the time

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience of mechanical experience with asa machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes

1+ years of experience with space products

1+ years of experience in teaching, coaching and developing others

Able and willing to travel 20% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience as an instructor teaching subject matter in an adult classroom environment

3+ years working on space products at Kennedy Space Center, Marshal Space Flight Center or Michoud Factory Assembly

1+ years on Space Launch System (SLS)

1+ years of experience with Boeing technical specifications

Typical Education & Experience:
Typically 10 or more years' related work experience or related military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Shift:
This position is primarily for 1st shift but will support additional shifts as needed.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business

considerations.
Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
