Senior Engineer - Civil Site Design

Graham & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Civil Site Design to lead and oversee civil engineering projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site design, land development, and infrastructure planning, with expertise in grading, drainage, utilities, and regulatory compliance. This role requires technical proficiency, project management skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management systems, utility designs, and erosion control measures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., zoning, permitting, environmental requirements).
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic calculations, earthwork analysis, and cost estimations.
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and government agencies.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience: 8+ years in civil site design, land development, or infrastructure projects.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local/state permitting (e.g., NPDES, DOT standards).
• Soft Skills: Project management, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
