What you will do
As a Software Test Engineer, you will develop software that enables our test automation. You will design, build and implement effective testing strategies to ensure that software functions work as intended.
Responsibilities will include:
Write embedded software in a variety of languages (e.g., C, C#, Python, etc.).

Design and code application/libraries for test automation.

Maintain existing codebases.

Collaborate with SW developers and test engineers.

Collaborate in cross-functional analytics community.

You will work with agile processes and engineering standards to maintain efficient, well organized, reusable and reliable hardware and software to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and robustness of the products.

Your future team
Our team, Test Infrastructure and Automation, is in the heart of innovation for the Vehicle Engineering function in North America. We develop solutions to build and automate the verification of electronics hardware and software for Volvo Group products and services.
Our mission includes:
Enabling shift-left development by building more realistic simulation environments.

Enabling data-driven development by brining data and data analytics to engineers.

Test automation to support CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Development) of electronic control unit software.

Who are you?
You are an experienced engineering professional who is passionate abouyt modern electronics, computer software, and machine learning. You are a curious and creative team player with a willingness to learn and take responsibility. You possess strong communication skills and enjoy working in acollaborative, cross-functional workenvironment.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or a related field.

5+ years of experience in software development and testing

Experience in Software-in-the-loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) methods to test requirements.

Preferred:
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science or similar

Experience in the automotive, transportation or a related industry.
