This role establishes, develops and maintains engineering methodologies, systems and practices that meet Boston Scientific, customer and regulatory requirements while driving Lean, LBP and VIP initiatives. The Senior Engineering Manager also provides strong leadership, coaches and develops employees, and promotes the Boston Scientific Code of Conduct, values and behaviors.\n\nWork model:\n\nThis role is based on-site at our Coventry, Rhode Island, facility. \n\n \n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n\u25cf Establish and drive departmental goals designed to achieve plant and departmental cost and budget objectives.\n\n\u25cf Identify and implement effective commissioning and validation processes while supporting the development, qualification and ongoing quality of sterilization equipment and facilities to meet internal and external requirements.\n\n\u25cf Partner with cross-functional teams, including Global Sterilization Assurance, Transportation and Supply Chain Planning, to achieve organizational objectives.\n\n\u25cf Partner with the Environmental Health and Safety (EH\u0026S) and Quality Systems teams to ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards.\n\n\u25cf Manage sterilization equipment upgrades and support maintenance activities to return sterilization equipment to service.\n\n\u25cf Support the installation of ancillary equipment supporting sterilization operations, building control systems, HVAC systems and related equipment, including pumps, boilers, air handling units, air compressors, cooling towers, process gas systems and chillers.\n\n\u25cf Proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.\n\n\u25cf Drive, promote and support employee involvement, accountability and execution of key business initiatives, including Lean, LBP, Six Sigma, diversity, equity and inclusion (DE\u0026I), and employee engagement.\n\n\u25cf Coach, mentor and develop engineering staff to achieve business and individual performance goals.\n\n\u25cf Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing engineering team.\n\n\u25cf Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards to promote a safe work environment.\n\n\u25cf Develop, revise and maintain company and departmental policies and procedures as needed.\n\n \n\nQualifications:\n\nRequired qualifications:\n\n\u25cf Bachelor\u0027s degree.\n\n\u25cf Minimum of 7 years\u0027 experience in engineering or a related field.\n\n\u25cf Minimum of 4 years\u0027 experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.\n\n\u25cf Minimum of 5 years\u0027 experience leading and managing people.\n\n\u25cf Demonstrated ability to champion innovative ideas and techniques that foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.\n\n\u25cf Ability to direct and manage functional activities, projects, programs and budgets.\n\n\u25cf Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build high-performing teams in a safety- and quality-focused environment.\n\n\u25cf Customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs and exceed expectations.\n\n\u25cf Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, employee safety and product quality.\n\n\u25cf Ability to build credibility through integrity, professionalism and ethical leadership.\n\n\u25cf Ability to foster an inclusive culture that enables all employees to contribute to their fullest potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n\u25cf Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.\n\n\u25cf Experience with project management.\n\n\u25cf Strategic planning and organizational leadership experience.\n\n\u25cf Experience within the medical device industry.\n\n\u25cf Leadership experience managing technical engineering teams.\n\nRequisition ID: 631709\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 131700\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 250200\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
