Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise, leveraging your deep knowledge of the ads industry, product-facing tools, and technologies such as TypeScript, Java, and GraphQL. ·
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 20+ engineers, including other engineering managers, within the Shopping organization. Inspire and empower your team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. ·
Product Innovation: Collaborate closely with product management to define and execute the product roadmap for the consumer-facing rewards program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. ·
Technical Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear technical strategy for the team, including architecture decisions and technology choices. ·
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams within the Shopping organization, including design, QA, and operations, to ensure the successful delivery of products and features. ·
Talent Development: Continuously invest in the growth and development of your team members, providing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for advancement.
What do you need to bring- ·
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field. ·
Work experience (10+ years) in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on the ads industry, product-facing tools, and consumer rewards programs. ·
Expertise in TypeScript, Java, and GraphQL, with a track record of designing and building scalable systems. ·
Substantial experience managing large engineering teams (25+ engineers) and other engineering managers. ·
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their best. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
