Senior Engineers

American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Senior Engineers to serve as a core member of an engineering team to develop digital and automated solutions for our customers. Develop and design software applications, translating user needs into systems architecture. Assess and validate application performance and integration of component systems and provide process flow diagrams. Test the engineering resilience of software and automation tools. Assess and incorporate user story analysis and elaboration to optimize software solution. Apply visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts. Reengineer systems and code for continuous improvement.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with platform engineering, architecture, design, and implementation. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: Analyzing user requirements; defining and designing technical specifications; monitoring and maintaining software; software installation and configuration; infrastructure planning and performance tuning; and Apache, Big Data, Cassandra, Flume, Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Hive, NoSQL, Oozie, Oracle, Pig, Python, Sqoop, MapReduce, Shell Scripting, SQL, SQL Server, Java, and Unix. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

Job Location: Phoenix, AZ   

Salary Range: $151,757.00 to $190,000.00 annually
