Job Description - Senior Environment and Carbon Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Participate in company-wide sustainability efforts, focusing on environmental performance indicators;
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to resource usage, waste, and emissions, collaborating closely with various internal teams;
  • Improve and maintain tools and databases to assess the company’s carbon footprint;
  • Contribute to internal environmental and sustainability reporting, including preparing summary presentations for management;
  • Initiate and support implementation of CO₂ reduction projects based on data insights, and monitor their progress and impact over time;
  • Ensure practical contribution to the company’s climate goals by understanding and applying science-based targets, helping translate strategic objectives into actionable projects;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments or locations to align environmental practices;
  • Communicate updates and results within the organization.
  • A university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field;
  • Experience in sustainability, environmental performance tracking, or related analytical roles within a manufacturing company;
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in carbon accounting, with familiarity in Scope 1-3, product-specific assessments (LCA), SBTi, and the GHG Protocol;
  • Familiarity with environmental standards, sustainability reporting, regulatory frameworks, and relevant environment legislation;
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams, with good organizational and communication abilities;
  • Excellent command of MS Excel;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, EcoVadis, Sedex;
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as CSRD, CBAM, and CDP reporting requirements.
