Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team! The successful candidate will support and/or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of remedial design and construction projects ranging from the initial investigation phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term management, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group all across the Northeast.
What You'll Be Doing:
Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
Ability to collaborate and cross-sell within Parsons’ other engineering divisions including municipal, transportation, and infrastructure groups
Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys.
Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project.
Works with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Provides key business development support to ongoing pursuits, including development of win strategy preparation of proposal packages.
Technical support to Project teams including community/public outreach and regulatory/permitting/compliance.
Provide technical support and leadership/mentorship to junior staff.
May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 8+ years of related work experience is required.
Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
Strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and agility/eagerness to lead challenging and unique projects and assignments.
Fundamental understanding of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, and ability to provide guidance and direction to Drafters utilizing this software.
