Senior Estimator

Our client is a mid-sized company specializing in mechanical, fabrication, and fire protection services, with a focus on the wet side of HVAC. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their dedicated estimating team. This role involves identifying and bidding on projects that align with the company’s expertise, including publicly advertised opportunities. 

The Senior Estimator will perform take-offs, prepare bids and proposals, and ensure timely submissions. Once a project is secured, they will coordinate with the project management team to provide all necessary bid details. This position is based in the main office and includes occasional site walks to assess projects within the Puget Sound region, from Everett to Tacoma.

Responsibilities

• Identify and estimate projects that align with the company’s capabilities
• Perform take-offs, compile bids, and prepare proposals
• Ensure accurate and timely bid submissions
• Maintain organized records of estimates and proposals
• Collaborate with internal teams to review project requirements
• Conduct occasional site walks to assess project conditions
• Handoff secured project details to the project management team

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in plumbing systems, piping installations, and related mechanical work
• Strong expertise in piping and plumbing preferred over solely HVAC experience
• Ability to design, install, and troubleshoot complex piping systems in commercial or industrial settings
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
