Job Summary

Nevell Group is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of large-scale commercial wall system projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation. This role plays a critical part in securing new work and supporting NGi’s continued growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for commercial wall system projects (interior/exterior).


• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and requirements.


• Develop quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and bid proposals.


• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction phases.


• Analyze historical cost data and market trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.


• Manage bid schedules and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.


• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.


• Mentor and support junior estimators as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, preferably in wall systems (drywall, framing, plaster, etc.).


• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.


• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, OST, or similar).


• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.


• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
