Job Summary: As a Senior Estimator in Fabrication, you'll hold a pivotal role within our team, responsible for crafting precise cost estimates and technical proposals for our petrochemical ventures. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including fabrication and machining units, engineering teams, vendors, and sales managers, you'll ensure the smooth progression of our estimation and proposal procedures.
Fabrication Estimator Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate cost estimates utilizing diverse inputs such as standard costs, historical manufacturing data, engineering blueprints, customer requirements, material pricing, and labor estimations.
- Create comprehensive technical proposals incorporating sales pricing, delivery timelines, freight expenses, and relevant documentation.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders throughout the estimation and proposal phases to acquire essential information and insights.
- Enter detailed Bill of Material (BOM) and Method of Manufacture (MOM) data into our ERP system.
- Occasionally visit plant facilities and clients to gather additional project details or clarify requirements.
Fabrication Estimator Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of fabrication estimation experience in the Petrochemical Industry, specializing in ASME Code Vessels, Piping, Skids, and General Fabrication.
- Proficiency in deciphering intricate fabrication schematics and Petrochemical Customer Specifications.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently while upholding meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with commercial and freight terminology.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with a background in data collection and analysis.
- Understanding of petrochemical welding techniques and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) inspection methods.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, whether working autonomously or as part of a team.
