Job Description - Senior Facilities Manager

As the Senior Facilities Manager, you will build and sustain a cohesive team while cultivating positive employee morale and an engaging work environment. This will include managing the day-to-day operations, on-call schedule, and work assignments of the facilities team to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and create a culture of respect for all staff and clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with and under the guidance of the Sr. Director of Facilities, this position has responsibility for developing operating budgets for the facilities department, long-term strategic planning for the best care and use of facilities, and end-to-end development and management of special projects;
Responsible for coordinating and managing office, program, and work team relocations, reconfigurations, and setup;
Knowledge of and ability to support direct reports in the resetting of office furniture systems;
Ensures that agency policies and procedures are followed to ensure safe working environments, including the supervision of fire suppression, smoke detector, kitchen hood, fire extinguisher and fire door inspections as well as managing monthly fire drills for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift building staff;
Ensures that monthly building and vehicle inspection reports are completed and submitted timely, and that proper follow-up takes place to address any deficiencies in a prompt manner;
Evaluate policies regarding Bethany Christian Services facilities, vehicle fleet, equipment and grounds against best practice standards and make recommendations for changes.
Manage the building automation system settings to ensure consistent temperatures;
Manage preventative maintenance schedules for facility vehicles and equipment, ensures AED units are compliant at all Bethany Grand Rapids locations, and that all Grand Rapids generator maintenance services are completed quarterly;
Manage and oversee internal work order ticketing system, coordinating with the facility team and all contracted service providers, as needed;
Maintain adequate parts inventory and stock resources, as necessary;
Maintain keyed locks and storage for records, doors, vehicles, and furniture;
Execute equipment audits and record taking policies and ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols;
Serve as emergency and disaster on call person for Grand Rapids campus and facilities;
Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree required;
5 or more years of Facility maintenance experience;
Minimum of 2 1/2 years experience managing people;
Demonstrated knowledge of facility management;
Proficient in maintenance of HVAC systems, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Drywall and General Construction;
FMP and HVAC Certifications, prefer;
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings as well as automated system;
Good time management, organizational and prioritization skills;
Keen attention to detail and the ability to solve problems efficiently;
Effective communication and people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Mature and stable judgement, with sensitivity to various needs of staff;
Computer skillssufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of MicrosoftOffice suite;
Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’slicense with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate avehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurancecoverage;
Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
