Job Description - Senior Field Service Representative

Eaton\u2019s Engineering Service \u0026 Systems Division is currently seeking a Senior Field Service Representative. This role can be located out of either Parma, OH or Southfield, MI. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $84000 - $123000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\n\n\u200b\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton has the largest and most experienced team of field services technicians and engineers in the industry, and we are looking to grow our team. In this role, you will:\n\n * Support customers across the power system lifecycle: startup, commissioning support, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and emergencies\n * Manage small projects independently and lead FSR teams on larger projects\n * Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties\n * Provide recommendations for improved electrical systems\n * Cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members, and partners\n * Mentor less experienced technicians\n * Utilize digital tools for remote work, including laptops, iPads, IR cameras, Google Glasses, MS Teams, and more\n\n\n\nTeam Benefits:\n\n * Guaranteed 40-hour base pay, eligible for overtime and travel premiums\n * Career growth, mentorship and safety training\n * Company vehicle, toolkit, and phone\n * Tuition assistance for ongoing learning\n * Leads program with bonus pay\n * Opportunities across 32 service branches\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * High school diploma or higher with a minimum of 5 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems, or in lieu of HS diploma or GED, completion of accredited trade school and/or program completion with 7 or more years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems\n * Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems \n * Must be able to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now or in the future\n * Must have a valid driver\u0027s license\n * Candidates must reside within 50 miles of either Parma, OH or Southfield, MI\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution \n * Electrical or General Contractor\u2019s License\n * Professional Engineering License\n * Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, analysis as well as protective relays\n * NICET/NETA certification\n\n\n\n## Position Success Criteria:\n\n * Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton\u2019s safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter\n * Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings\n * Must have the ability to work variable hours, including nights \u0026 weekends, and travel within the district/state/region/country based on customer requirements.\n * This position requires you to drive an Eaton vehicle\n * Must be able and willing to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) non-CDL qualification and comply with all DOT regulatory requirements, if required.\n * Understands 3-phase power systems and low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment.\n * Performs physically demanding tasks, requirement to stand, walk, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach above, to, and below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. Frequently required to climb. Regularly required to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to push/pull \u003e 50 pounds with assistance. May be required to drive extended distances, work in extreme weather and temperature conditions, work at sites with areas that have poor lighting, ventilation, and dust and/or be exposed to high noise levels.\n\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card\n\n\n * Proficient with hand and power tools for equipment assembly\n * Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills\n * Works well under time constraints and in stressful situations\n * Explain technical problems and solutions\n * Collaborates effectively with the team to meet project deadlines\n\n\n\n* * *\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
