Job description Sr. Level Field Service Technician for the Access & Security division of Associated Time Instruments
Onsite in Dallas, TX $30-32/hr
Job Summary Field Service Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, as well as physically install, all aspects of low voltage electronic security systems. These systems include but are not limited to: Access Control Systems, IP & Analog Camera Systems, IP Networks, Video Management Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems. Additionally, Field Service Technicians must be able to manage all aspects of communication between ATI Service Coordinators, Customers, Vendors, & Technical Support.
Responsibilities & Duties Service, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for all aspects of electronic security systems Some physical installation required at times Systems Programming & Customer Training as needed Perform routine maintenance and provide detailed systems reports Daily communication and coordination with ATI Service Coordinators, colleagues, management, and customers Communication and coordination with tech support, technical resources, and contractors Update project and/or service tickets daily to company management software Provide adequate and efficient solutions for service calls that include pictures and part numbers as needed Manage RMA processes with various vendors and manufacturers Accountability (All communications transparent, clocking in and out remotely with location tracking, working with team members, etc.) On-call rotation (one week duration)
Qualifications and Skills Most possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record Must pass drug screening and background check with the Texas Department of Public Safety Must pass random drug screenings 2+ years Access Control Installation and/or Service experience required 2+ years computer and networking experience preferred Advanced knowledge of computers and networks (must be able to provision a Windows-based PC and create a local network) Certifications with DSX, Open Options, or Maxxess are a plus Must be proficient with a smart phone and laptop for communication, email, in-app ticket updates, etc. Strong customer communication skills Strong leadership skills Good oral, reading, and typing skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturer installation instructions and to clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and company personnel Most possess the following skills and attributes: Accountability, Leadership, Punctuality, Professionalism, Time Management, Problem Solving, Customer Service, Job Knowledge, Initiative, Cost Consciousness, Sound Judgment, Dependability, Adaptability, Thoroughness, Efficiency & Proficiency, Detail Oriented, Honesty, Integrity, Moral Character, Code of Ethics, Perseverance, Respectful Attitude
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 50 pounds Move, carry, and transport tools and equipment Must be able to climb ladders: 4’ - 32’ Operate a lift (training available) Prolong periods of standing in same place
