Job Description - Senior Finance Manager, People & Places
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager, People & Places and Corporate Development FP&A to support the client's Finance organization during a period of accelerated growth. The successful candidate will serve as the key FP&A partner to the Chief People Officer and EVP of Corporate Development, driving budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis across the People & Places and Corporate Development functions.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who can operate independently and cross-functionally, is comfortable partnering with senior leadership, and is excited about building scalable financial processes within a fast-paced FP&A organization.
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office) Contract Length: 3 Months Pay Rate: $80-90/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the key FP&A partner to the Chief People Officer and EVP of Corporate Development.
Manage the People and Places financial analyst.
Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes for the People & Places and Corporate Development functions, including partnering with the business on strategic initiatives, optimizing spend portfolios while maintaining 1% forecast accuracy, and owning insightful analysis on headcount, spend, and other key operational drivers and metrics.
Continuously evolve budgeting and forecasting processes as business needs change.
Participate in the company's long-range strategic planning as applicable.
Manage frequent ad hoc and strategic projects to support senior management and business decision-making.
Take on expanded scope as business needs evolve.
Lead process and systems improvement and scaling projects within your area and the broader FP&A function, partnering across cross-functional teams to support the company's continued growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
Able and willing to work from the San Francisco office as needed, once a week or more.
7–10 years of experience in FP&A.
Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership.
Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision.
Ability to challenge the status quo and bring forward new ways of thinking.
Preferred
Experience with Anaplan and Tableau.
Experience in a global high tech, software, or SaaS organization.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
