Senior Finance Solutions Specialist

Job Description:

An organization is seeking a Senior Finance Solutions Specialist who can bridge the technical and business sides of finance transformation work. This hybrid role supports business-facing discussions with senior stakeholders while helping drive enterprise finance and ERP solutions across complex environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong Finance ERP implementation expertise, comfort working directly with executive stakeholders, and a techno-functional understanding of finance systems. This role is especially aligned to enterprise finance operations involving Certinia, Salesforce, billing and revenue recognition, month-end close exposure, and cross-functional solution delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with business and executive stakeholders to translate finance needs into scalable solution recommendations
• Support or lead enterprise finance / ERP implementation initiatives
• Drive business-facing discussions across technical and functional teams
• Contribute expertise in billing, revenue recognition, and finance process optimization
• Support finance systems workflows tied to month-end close and related operational processes
• Work across platforms and stakeholders to improve adoption, delivery, and alignment of finance solutions
• Operate effectively in a hybrid environment with regular in-office collaboration

MUST HAVES:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong Finance ERP implementation expertise
• Certinia experience
• Salesforce platform experience
• Enterprise finance / ERP knowledge
• Billing and revenue recognition familiarity
• Month-end close exposure
• Strong techno-functional skill set
• Ability to work directly with C-suite stakeholders and lead business-facing discussions

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:

• Deep knowledge of Certinia ERP/PSA modules including project accounting, resource management, financials, time/expense, billing, multi-currency, and project economics
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail and organization
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative team player with experience coaching or mentoring admin or analyst teams and working with external partners/vendors
• Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Neutral, solution-oriented technical mindset focused on business outcomes rather than vendor or platform preferences

WORK MODEL:

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in office and 2 days remote
• Target job locations include New York City, NY; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Louisville, KY; Phoenix, AZ; and Urbandale, IA
